After much consideration, Music Boosters has decided to cancel this year's fall fruit sale. Due to last month's storm in Florida, much of the citrus crop was ruined causing prices to rise and giving us concerns as to the quality of the fruit we would deliver to our customers. Since so many of our fundraising patrons are our friends and family, we want the items that we sell to be not only top quality, but affordable to all who choose to support Hammond Music.
It's our hope that we can raise enough money with this new fundraiser that we will not have to add another to recoup funds lost from the fruit sale. Items will be delivered frozen the week before Thanksgiving -- that's a great selling point. Since they're frozen, items can even be kept for later holidays. We hope you will help us get the word out about the sale.
There are 2 ways to sell.
- Your student will receive a seller kit in class this week. They can sell in person and collect cash/checks from customers. I've attached the kit and welcome letter to this email in case yours doesn't make it home in the backpack.
- You can provide the following link so that friends and family can order and pay online. Please note that PayPal does deduct a service charge from these sales, so it will impact profit slightly. Still, it's a convenient way to get the word out, so don't hesitate to use this option.
