This week we are introducing a new fundraiser -- Dessert Days. Dessert Days has performed very well for other schools and we are hoping to have a strong sale. Items are reasonably priced -- starting at $14. We will see a 30-43% profit, depending on how many desserts we sell. Half of that profit will be credited to student sellers' trip accounts.
After much consideration, Music Boosters has decided to cancel this year's fall fruit sale. Due to last month's storm in Florida, much of the citrus crop was ruined causing prices to rise and giving us concerns as to the quality of the fruit we would deliver to our customers. Since so many of our fundraising patrons are our friends and family, we want the items that we sell to be not only top quality, but affordable to all who choose to support Hammond Music.
It's our hope that we can raise enough money with this new fundraiser that we will not have to add another to recoup funds lost from the fruit sale. Items will be delivered frozen the week before Thanksgiving -- that's a great selling point. Since they're frozen, items can even be kept for later holidays. We hope you will help us get the word out about the sale.
There are 2 ways to sell.
If you have questions about the sale, please contact Kim Kerry at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for your ongoing support of the Music Boosters!
We are trying a new fundraiser this year: Dessert Days! Forms will be available from the directors starting Wednesday, 10/11. We encourage all students and their families to participate. Items for sale include both thaw-and-serve desserts as well as pies-to-bake for a just before Thanksgiving delivery. Not only are you helping out our program when you sell pies, but you can make your own Thanksgiving prep a little easier!
Join the Boosters on Thursday Oct 5th in the Choir/ Orchestra Room for our monthly meeting. Hope to see you there!
Our 3rd annual car wash is THIS Saturday, 9/16, 10am - 4pm at the Exxon Savage - at the corner of Gorman Road and Rt.1. This has been a big success for us and the students have a great time working together while raising money. The best advertisement is word of mouth so please share with your friends, family and neighbors that they can get their cars washed by the amazing Hammond High School Music Students and that will help those students offset some of the costs to the department's spring trip to Orlando.
If your student plans to participate, the sign up for the slot/s they want will be in the band room.
We need participating students to bring:
Larger items needed:
Finally, we will need 1-3 parent volunteers each in the morning and in the afternoon to help with traffic direction, money collection, helping the students wash the cars and more.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
I can't wait to see everyone on Saturday!!
